During the month of August, GABRIEL ALOMAR (Palma, 1873 - Cairo, 1941) is the writer of the month in the Municipal Library of Can Ventosa, in Ibiza. He studied high school in Àvila and at the Instituto Balear. El 1888 moved to Barcelona to study law, that he abandoned for those of Philosophy and Letters. He was a professor at the Instituto Balear where he had as students the great poet Bartomeu Rosselló-Pòrcel and the writer Llorenç Villalonga to whom years later he prefaced his work Mort de dama.
