CREATION OF A WEBSITE ABOUT MIQUEL COSTA AND LLOBERA

The Department of Culture, Patrimonio y Política Linguística of the Council of Mallorca has created a web space about Miquel Costa and Llobera. This platform collects important information about the Majorcan poet. It is a didactic material intended for the educational community in particular.. Nevertheless, the website is open to the public.

The material included on the web is divided into 12 sections in which both his life and works are explained, always from a current perspective. Information can be found on the themes of his verses (The exaltation of nature, For example) or about the creation of Nuredduna, His mythological character.

In the units there are also fragments of their most relevant poems, as well as videos of his musicalized works. MIQUEL COSTA I LLOBERA

Miquel Costa i Llobera was a poet, translator, Prosist and pollença speaker. It is considered one of the most important figures of the Mallorcan Escola. His contribution to modern Catalan poetry was essential for the passage of the nineteenth to the twentieth century, From romanticism to classicism.

This year the centenary of the death of this important poet is commemorated.
