POETIC ACTION CYCLE “VERSUD”
This Thursday 21 April the new edition of the cycle of poetic action "Versud" was presented, of the Fundació Mallorca Literària. The cycle will take place between 30 of April and the 4 of June.
Objective and activities of the poetic action cycle “Versud”
Organized from the Blai Bonet House. Poetry Center and the project Poeteca.cat, this cycle aims to invite the cultural agents of Mallorca to create a program of activities to encourage and promote literature in May and June, making this spring a literary season. It also proposes a renewal of poetic languages and the game offered by the plasticity of words..
It is important to create more synergies for the cycle, so the collaboration with the Obra Cultural Balear de Campo, the Campos cycle is Poetry, The Association of Writers in Catalan Language and the town councils involved extends.
The program begins with a concert “Mots d’enclusa” in Son Macià, the first of may, by Mar Grimalt and Biel Carbonell. The singer-songwriter will perform both her songs and poems by Miquel Bauçà and Damià Huguet, entre otros.
The culmination of the cycle will have a Galician accent by the poets Antón Lopo, Nuria Vil and Jesús Castro, who will be combined with the Mallorcan poets Laia Malo and Antonina Canyelles. The Galician poet Luz Fandiño will be present through the documentary “A poet illiterate”. Finally, the songs of the Basque Amorante will close this year's cycle.
Locations and schedule of activities
This year the locations in which the cycle activities will take place are expanded.. In addition to Versud, Santanyí, Felanitx, Campos and Son Macià, There will also be programming in Pollença, Raixa and Binissalem, as well as in the natural spaces of Mondragó, s’Estelella and Cabrera.
