POETRY DAY IN PALMA

The poet Biel Mesquida, Coordinator of the Acts of Poetry Day in Palma
Palma City Council has prepared a program for the celebration of this day. This is coordinated by Biel Mesquida, poet and director of the Mediterranean Poetry Festival.
The Poetry Day events will begin in the lobby of City Hall at 10 in the morning with the reading of the manifesto by Mesquida. a las 11 h The poet Pere Perelló Nomdedéu will offer a recital in the Olivar Market, and to 12:30 There will be another in the City Council. The latter will be in charge of Odile Arqué, Meritxell Cucurella-Jorba and Eduard Escoffet.

Acts will end the 20 H in Can Balaguer with the recital of the World Poetry A Palma ’recital’, in which different poets and poets will participate.
Thematic of the recitals
This year's commemoration will be structured around two key figures of Catalan literature. This is Jaume Vidal Alcover, For the centenary of his birth, and Francesc Vicent Garcia i Ferrandis (The Rector of Vallfogona), for their 400 years.
This is intended to promote and give visibility to these two authors who have influenced the Catalan letters with their poetic writings, His style and creativity.
