CONTEST WINNERS OF THE LITERARY
It has taken place in Sa Our Hall of Ibiza the awards ceremony for the Short Fiction and Poetry Contest that, for the fifth consecutive year, The Julián Vilás Ferrer Foundation and the Ibiza publishing house have called editions. The ceremony was attended by the newly appointed Island Director of Culture of the Ibiza Council, Michael Costa, the president of the foundation, Marta Vilás and editor Ramon Mayol.
The winners of the Narrative Awards in the Spanish category were the following:
First prize, provided with 1.000 euros and the edition of his work in the formats and- book and LeOigo, it was for Adela Pardo López, Since I was a child, I have been a great lover of reading., for his story BIG MO.
The second prize, provided with 500 euros and the edition of the work in the formats and- book and LeOigo, it was for Noel Martinez when, by THE BOOK OF LIFE IN ENDLESS Yabisa FOUND. This young writer, who has a doctorate in Philology, was awarded best author and best work in the first edition of the contest Megustaescribir with the novel titled Wayfarer, He was also the winner of the third prize in the Vilás Foundation Brief Narrative Contest. – Ibiza Editions from last year.
Regarding the narrative awards in the Catalan category: the first prize was void by decision of the jury, but a second prize was awarded shared between two authors:
On the one hand, The Second Shared Prize for Narrative in Catalan was awarded, provided with 250 euros and the edition of his work in e-book and LeOigo formats, A María Luisa Jaén Villoldo for his work DRY FISH, where the author, social worker by profession, recounts the best memories of his childhood. y, On the other hand, was also awarded with 250 euros and the edition of his work in e-book and LeOigo a Anna Labernia Cabós, for his story ANTONIA.
The prizes of the I Poetry Contest, were given to the following candidates:
The first prize, valued at one thousand euros and the edition of the work in e-book and LeOigo formats, it was for Marina frizzy Torres, master's student in cultural management, who could not attend the ceremony and his father collected the award, Fernando Crespo, for his poetry caryatid.
The second prize, valued at 500 euros and the edition of his work in e-formats- book and LeOigo, it was for Mónica Alejandra Carrizo Díaz, Graduate in Social Sciences and finalist in numerous literary competitions, for his work POSTAL.
The jury was made up of the following people:
In Spanish mode: Catalina Palau Costa, Graduate in Hispanic Philology and Professor of Language and Literature at Nuestra Señora de la Consolación School; José Miguel López Romero, journalist for the Diario de Ibiza and winner of the first prize for narrative in Spanish 2017 and José M. Prats Marí, member of the Julián Vilás Foundation.
In the Catalan mode: Montse González Vera, advisor to the Ibiza Teachers Center and winner of the second prize for narrative in Catalan 2016 y 2017; Felipe Cherry Costa, professor of Catalan language and literature, director of the Encyclopedia of Ibiza and Formentera and the Ramon Llull Award 2017; Pere Vilas Gil, researcher and historian specializing in the maritime history of the PYTHIUS, Premi Baladre 1993 and honorary member of the Julián Vilás Foundation; Jesús Ballesteros Mir, advisor to the Ibiza Teaching Center and teacher, winner of the first prize for fiction in Catalan 2016 y 2017 and second prize in 2018.
In the I Poetry Contest, Spanish and Catalan modalities: Eva Tur Antonio, Ibizan philologist, author of poems and stories, his first book is titled Message to drift; Pains All, Ibizan poet, author of the book Side effects, among many other poems and notebooks; MARIO RIERA, graduate in psychology and Ibizan poet, author of the book Return from Abyssinia, was named by the Poetry Publishers Association, among one of the twelve best in the 2017; and Ramon Mayol, director of Ibiza Editions.
