"THE MALLORCAN ROUNDS" DAY
Last Saturday, the "Mallorcan fables" conference took place at the Alcover Institution in Manacor. Likewise, this day was also a tribute to professor Josep Antoni Grimalt, professor emeritus of the UIB. The reason for the celebration of the act is the completion of the commented edition of the 'rondalles'.

Josep A. Grimalt and Jaume Guiscafré, Professor and Director of the Department of Catalan and General Linguistics of the UIB, They are about to finish their work of the commented edition of the compilation of the ‘Rondalles Mallorquines’.
This edition about to be finished stands out for its strong informative character, based on solid investigation, and for bringing few texts known and accessible to readers. These new texts are the notes of Alcover's notebooks in which the ‘Rondalles’ that was collecting during their work pointed out. Además, The commented edition reproduces the ‘Rondalles’ as wrote them Alcover. The expressive wealth of the characteristic Catalan language of Mallorca at the end of the 19th century is therefore intact.
