WOMEN write history

exposure WOMEN write history can be visited at the municipal library of can ventosa, in Ibiza. gathers 150 bibliographical works and some thirty photographs of women in various fields.

I know It is an activity framed within the program of events of the 8M of the Ibiza Town Hall and will be exposed until 20 de marzo. The exhibition gathers a total of 150 works distributed in different sections and themes in that feminism is fundamentally treated from different aspects.

There are different sections related to feminism: Woman and Fight and Woman e Equality. Different titles on the subject can be consulted; in section of Women's Names, Bibliographies of outstanding women are exposed; in the section The woman writes the History, related works can be consulted with the history of women in general and by stages and countries: the woman in the Middle Ages, women in america, women in the 19th century, the pioneers; in Women and struggle bibliography of the role of women can be consulted during the Republic, the wars, social advances, the fight for democracy.

Regarding the photographic exhibition, It can tour a total of 14 roll ups with thirty images in different scopes, from famous women who have gone down in history as Clara Campoamor, Concepción Arenal, Maria Teresa Leon, Aurora Picornell, Margalida Roig Colomar “Rented” or María Marí Guasch to anonymous women who they have developed a quieter but equally important job: teachers, seamstresses, tenderas.
