MALLORCA AWARDS FOR LITERARY CREATION 2022

The call for the Mallorca Literary Creation Awards is now open 2022! East 27 May has opened the call to present works of different categories (Novela, Poetry, Teatro, rehearsal and childish). The authors will have time to present their texts until August 1.

Delivery conditions

The works must be delivered in electronic format (PDF) from a link enabled on the website of Llengua Mallorca, never on paper or by email.

Submitted works must be anonymous, So in the sent PDF, neither name nor any sign that identifies the author can be recorded. The jury will only have access to this Anonymous PDF document; You will not be able to access the registration form data at any time.

In the category of illustrated children's literature, The works must have between 24 y 40 pages and be accompanied by a minimum of eight original illustrations with quality to reproduce in format of 260mm x 260mmm. The audience to which they are directed must be the first readers. The text and illustrations must already be integrated and ordered according to the plot thread of the work in the document presented. In case of winning, The authors will have until 28 February of next year to deliver the final work to the editorial in charge of the edition.

Awards for winning works

The Mallorca Premis of Creació Liteària are aimed at promoting literary creation in Catalan. So, have a total economic endowment of 79000 euros, to be distributed among narrative winners (25000), Poetry (15000), test (19000), Teatro (10000) and children's literature (10000).

Además, The Consell will be in charge of the edition and promotion of winning works from the Edició editorials (childish) And the Sargantana Editorial Group, Under the Welsh Stamp editions, For the rest of the categories. On the other hand, The main theater will make a dramatized reading of theatrical texts, and reserves the preferential right to produce the work.

Announcement of the winning works

The winning works will be announced in a gala in the Diada de Mallorca, El 31 from December. The intention of the Consell de Mallorca is to be able to have the works already edited for its presentation at the Diada de Sant Jordi of the next year.
