‘ANIMAL’ IS PRESENTED’

Animalia. A fable too real
A year late, due to the pandemic, Ramon Mayol ‘the bookAnimalia. A fable too real’, will be presented in Ibiza next Friday, 4 of June.
This brief corresponds to volume 3 From the Quaderns d’Artista collection of the Ibizano Ediciones Aïllades seal, of which the author is also editor. This is the third work that Ramon Mayol publishes, After the book of stories ‘Vintidotze ' (EDICIONS AÏLLADES, 2012) And the novel ‘#Ibizestralllada ’ (Ibiza editions, 2019).
‘Animalia. A fable too real’ it's a Compendium of five stories that are related to them, With prologue by the Ibicenca writer Iolanda Bonet. A fable that transports us to a valley with an old train station, where tourism completely changes the way of life, Not only of the workers of the station but of the entire Vallel.
In the words of Iolanda Bonet, "You do not need ornate literary figures that would distort the transmission of sober prose. Rightly, Mayol has opted for a clear language, with simple and concise lexicon to avoid masking the common thread. Thus the story is transmitted in an efficient way. ”
The huge humanitarian crisis that is lived in the Mediterranean is also reflected in this book, which includes five photographs of the propi author.
Different formats
From the editorial, This book wanted to launch in three different formats at the same time: The classic, In printed and small format edition, accessible in bookstores; The digital format, that can be achieved both on the literary platform www.illes.cat as in Amazon, y, Finally in the podcast format, more modern and with increasing demand, Through Leoigo.es
The free was presented in the latest edition of the Setmana del Llibre in Català de Palma, where the author was accompanied by Iolanda Bonet, as well as in the last Plaça del Llibre de València where the presentation was in charge of the Valencian photographer and poet Andrés Ferrer Taberner.
The presentation of the next 4 June will take place at 20:15 hours in the room Jordi Juan Riquer of the Municipal Library of Ibiza (In Can Ventosa) and will be in charge of the prologue author, Iolanda Bonet and the writer Jesús Ballester. Prior reserve is necessary in: biblioteca@eivissa.es
