ESCRIVIURE 2019

Santa Eulària des Riu hosts a new edition of ‘ESCRIVIURE’, an annual lecture series this 2019 celebrates its eleventh edition with literature and feminism as protagonists.

This proposal is organized by the City of Santa Eulària together with the Association of Writers in Catalan Language (AELC) and is coordinated by the poet and vowel of AELC by Ibiza and Formentera, Nora Albert, who will focus on this edition on the relationship between writing and feminism, And it will title Literature and feminism in action: From the pioneers to the present day.

All lectures will take place in the Municipal Library of Santa Eulària to the 20:00 horas. They are addressed to the entire general public and entry is free.

The first of the sessions will take place on Friday 18 October: Joan-Albert Ribas It will be the rapporteur and his talk will be titled Women's education through textbooks and reading only for them (from the 19th century to 1930). A week later, El 25 October, It will be one's own Nora Albert who will speak on literature pioneers and feminisme: George Sand, Virginia Woolf, Simone de Beauvoir i Adrienne Rich, Some of the most prominent figures in the breakup that women begin to take the floor without any male guide or limitation.

By last, The Escriviure cycle will close its sessions the 8 November with the visit of Lluïsa Julià, recognized essayist and literary criticism, that will talk about Literature and feminism in Catalan key. Three great pillars: maria aurelia capmany, Montserrat Red and Mary Mercè.
