ESCRIVIURE 2021
The Teatro España hosts a new edition of Escriviure with three literary conferences by Anapurna (Ana Sainz); Marika Vila and Lluís Ferrer. This year the conferences focus on comics and address aspects such as feminist transgression, censorship or universal languages.
Escriviure reaches its thirteenth edition and is organized jointly by the Association of Writers in Catalan Language (AELC) and the Santa Eulària des Riu City Council with the coordination of Nora Albert. These are free activities with limited capacity and all sessions begin at 20:00 horas
The first quote of the Escriviure cycle is the 10 November with Anapurna (Ana Sainz) which offers the talk 'From cave paintings to graphic novels' and deals with issues such as comics and counterculture, new languages and new narratives, the current situation of the comic scene, the use of metaphor or creative processes. Anapurna is a young Mallorcan artist and comic author who graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona and specialized in illustration at the IED Madrid.. Works on different artistic disciplines such as drawing, the painting, embroidery or engraving and has been developing an interesting career as an illustrator. his first work, ‘Sauerkraut’, He won the FNAC-Salamandra Graphic award and his stories have been published in magazines in Colombia., France and Spain. Likewise, He has exhibited his works in galleries in Germany, Madrid and Barcelona.

She has coordinated several publications and exhibitions and has a doctorate in Construction and Representation of Cultural Identities from the University of Barcelona and a professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.. Her doctoral thesis addressed the use of the female body in vignettes, as well as the rescue of invisible authors within this discipline. Ferrer is the author of novels, comic book and illustrated book scripts ('Dark Days', 'History of Ibiza and Formentera', ‘Eivissa i Formentera Il·lustrades’ and ‘La Venganza. A Johnny Revenge Adventure'), as well as the essay '100 Còmics!!!’. Ferrer will address content control by governments, but also the campaigns promoted by certain sectors against the cartoons and their authors, some of these being imprisoned, and even killed for their jobs.
