THE AINA PROJECT ADDS THE BALEARIC ISLANDS

We currently live in a world increasingly dominated by technology.. Undoubtedly, our form of communication to be able to access, use and interact with them is the language. With this objective, The campaign “La nostra llengua es la teva veu” was created to request the collaboration of speakers of the Catalan language in the configuration of a database extensive enough to be applied to technologies. The AINA Project consists of the collection of Catalan voices of all genres, ages, dialects and registers to obtain the millions of hours needed to teach Catalan to machines. por tanto, It is about building a broad oral dictionary open to everyone.. All technology companies will be able to use it to include Catalan in their products.

The project in the Balearic Islands

In April of this year, the AINA Project was presented in the Balearic Islands in a new step for the development of said initiative.. The Government of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands will work jointly and coordinated to promote the use of Catalan at a technological and IT level..

In this context, the Government of the Balearic Islands will dedicate itself to the promotion and dissemination of the AINA Project campaign "Our language is your voice". The objective of this is to collect the maximum possible number of Balearic Catalan-speaking voices in order to expand the corpus of this database with samples of the dialect registers of the different regions of the Balearic Islands..

The addition and collaboration of the Government of the Balearic Islands to this initiative will allow the great and rich linguistic diversity of the oral Catalan language to be shown..
