XI CHRISTMAS CONTEST
A ‘estribot’ is a gloss, popular stanza, usually four very short verses. Rhymed songs that are part of the popular Ibiza songbook. His lyrics often include mocking references, satirical and even, erotic. In the past they were sung among neighbors and were designed to make people laugh and stood out for the ingenuity of their lyrics. For the ninth year, The stirrup contest has been launched. The term ends on 28 August 2020.
Organized by SA Colla Des Vedrà and the neighborhood association of Sant Agustí, This contest is intended to keep this tradition alive. A popular jury will choose the winners who will be sung in the first Xacota of Nadal that can be done. The presentation in the contest gives access to the publication of the ‘stribots’ in a compilation book with the best valued.
