AID TO THE CULTURAL SECTOR
A line of financial aid has been approved for an amount of 100.000 euros for the self-employed, micro-businesses and small businesses in the cultural field on the island of Ibiza, to alleviate the effects of the declaration of the state of alarm caused by Covid-19.
From the Department of Culture, Education and Heritage of the Consell Insular d'Eivissa, these grants have been launched to support one of the sectors that has received the most impact from Covid-19 on the island.
In this line of aid, activities within the cultural sector of Ibiza are considered those that are developed in the following areas: Performing Arts, Plastic arts, audiovisual and multimedia creation, cultural and heritage management, archives and libraries, museums and cultural halls, publishers and bookstores, musical composition and performance, recording industry.
Public administrations and their dependent entities are excluded., as well as public companies. The maximum aid for each applicant can reach 2.500 euros.
The application period is open until 31 October 2020 and the bases are published in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands (BOIB) número 141 of the 15 August 2020.
