IBICENCOS CORSARIOS IN PALMA

Many Ibizan sailors participated in the attempt to recover Gibraltar, forming part of the endowments of the jabeques of the Royal Navy or aboard their own corsair ships. Among the documents that are preserved in the Historical Archive of Ibiza, the names of Miguel García stand out, antonio sierra, Bernardo Guasch, Rafael Prats, Juan Ros, Bartolome Cavanillas and, above all, Antonio Ferrer's, xebek pattern Saint Teresa of Jesus.
The author
José María P. Marí He born in Ibiza in 1959. It's official General Corps of the Navy, specialty Naval Aviation Pilot (AVP) Staff and graduate from the School of Command and General Staff UK (JSCSC). He is the author of several articles on military operations in professional journals. en 2023 publica «Ibizan corsairs in Gibraltar» (Ibiza editions) that now presents its 2nd edition in Palma. This book has already been presented in Ibiza, In Madrid and Barcelona.
