POETRY FESTIVAL OF THE MOON 2019
The XXVIII edition of Poetry Festival of the Moon of June starts on thursday, 13 June with poetry readings, concerts, dramatized readings and a tribute to Maria Villangómez. The Mallorcan singer-songwriter Maria del Mar Bonet performs in Eivissa as part of the celebration tour of 50 years of poetry on stage.
El Poetry Festival of the Moon of June takes place this year 13 Al 16 de junio de 2019 in different areas of the island of Ibiza.
CARLES FABREGAT, promoter of the event appreciates the collaboration of the institutions “a fact that has allowed a qualitative leap to expand the Poetry festival. The Poetry Festival intends to become an international festival and we begin this year with the presence of the Portuguese poet, Joao Luis Barreto or with the French poet, Annie Bates. Thus we begin a new trajectory to bring international poets to Ibiza., nationals like Antonio Lucas, and continue with the presence of poets from the rest of the Islands. The institutional collaboration has also allowed us to expand the number of days and concerts”.
The program of events begins next Thursday 13 of June, a las 20:00 horas, with a dialogue on classical poetry and classicism by the poets July Herranz y Ben Clark in the bookstore Cultural Sa.
On Friday 14 of June, a las 21:00 horas, The Cloister of the Ibiza Town Hall hosts the concert by Maria del Mar Bonet, accompanied by Dani espasa, on the occasion of the tour of the 50 years of poetry on stage.
El sábado 15 of June, a las 12:00 hours in the church of Sant Miquel de Balansat a tribute to Marià Villangómez presented by historian Philip Cirer. The tribute will feature a concert byJoan “They die” and a dance Cross of Ballanced.
a las 21:00 hours in the bastion of Sant Pere the Poetry Night will take place with a poetic recital by Margaret Ballester, Annie Bates, João Luis Barreto, Ben Clark, Mercy Clement, Antonio Colinas, Maria T. Ferrer, Antonio Lucas, Biel Mesquida y Eva Tur. The poetry recital will be presented by CARLES FABREGAT and will feature a piano performance by Santi Pérez.
on Sunday 16 a las 12.30 horas, The refectory of the Iivissa City Council will host the concert-recital of the violinist Lina Tur Bonet and the writer Antonio Colinas. a las 19.30 horas, in the bookstore Cultural Sa, The Poetry Festival will end with the dramatized reading Mort Roca Amor by the actress Àngels Escandell and the writer Toni Roca.
