"MEMORY OF AN ISLAND" IS PRESENTED

The book "Memory of an island. In the shade of a boval carob tree” (EDICIONS AÏLLADES, 2023) by Josep Joan and Marí "Pep Xomeu", which has illustrations by Antoni Marí “Tiruit”, shows up on thursday 29 de junio a las 20.00 hours in the Municipal Library of Santa Eulària des Riu.

“Memory from an island” is a song of love to the island of Ibiza and its ancestral rural character. In a tour of different types of country houses or in memories of a small town where tribute to certain people outstanding in memorable events per their selfless work is paid, for help and collaboration in many activities but have never had an official recognition.

The book also tells us about some silver and gold weddings that have been examples of coming generations, among other aspects. All with a flat language, But with an evocative and endearing force that makes it a honorable continuator of "L’Eivissa that Ja does not have".

The presentation is by Dr. Juan Tur Rosello, who also wrote the foreword. The act will be attended by the author himself, of the Illustrator and the editor, Ramon Mayol,. Además, There will be drum musical accompaniment, castanets and flute.
