The National Library of Spain (BNE) has declared the work of the famous writer Miguel Hernández free of copyright. This was made public in its annual list of creators whose works "can be edited, reproduced or broadcast publicly". This legal modification affects the creations of other 173 Spanish authors, all deceased in 1942. Currently the Provincial Council of Jaén is in charge of guarding the Hernández file.
